All You Need to Know About AP ECET

AP ECET is a state level entrance examination which is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur. The examination is conducted on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh state council of Higher education and the test is for all the diploma holders and B.Sci (Maths) degree holders. The eligibility criteria must be fulfilled in order to appear for the examination. The students should go through the previous year papers in order to clear the examination. The official portal contains all the information regarding the examination. The better ranks will help the customers in getting admissions to the best professional courses.

AP ECET Exam Pattern

The candidates must know that APECET is an objective type test and the candidates need to choose the correct option for scoring better percentile. There is no negative marking for the wrong answers. There are basically four sections namely Section A, Section B, Section C & Section D. The examination is of total 200 marks. The duration of the examination is 150 minutes. The syllabus for the AP ECET Exam  is given below –

Mathematics

Trigonometry, Differentiation and its Applications, Differential Equations, Partial Fractions, Analytical Geometry, Integration and Its Applications, Complex Numbers, Matrices

Chemistry

Environmental chemistry, Corrosion, Electrochemistry, Chemical Bonding, Fuels, Acids and Bases, Polymers, Water Technology, Solutions, Atomic Structure

Physics

Kinematics and Friction, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Simple harmonic motion and acoustics, Work, Power, and Energy, Elements of vectors, Units and dimensions

For engineering courses- The physics section will be common to all branches and will be of 25 marks. The chemistry will also be common to all the branches and is of 25 marks in total. The mathematics section is of 50 marks and is common to all the branches.  The engineering subjects are separate for each branch and it will be of 100 marks. There will be a separate question for each branch of diploma engineering. The examination will be of total 200 marks.

For Pharmacy Courses– There will be subjects like Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology each of 50 marks. The total marks will be 200.

For B.Sc (Mathematics) – There will be subjects like Analytical Ability and Communicative English which will be of 50 marks. The mathematics section will be of 100 marks in this course. The total marks will be 200.

Application Form

The notifications will be released in the 2nd week of February 2018. The submission of the online application form will be in the 3rd week of February 2018. The last date to submit the application fee without any late fee will be in the 4th week of March 2018. The admit card will be available in the Last week of April 2018. The Commencement of Exam might be in the 2nd week of May 2018.

The candidates must visit the official portal in order to be updated with all the details regarding the examination. The first thing is to read the instructions carefully before filling the application form. The application form will be accepted online only. The candidates must keep in mind that the photographs or the documents to be uploaded should be scanned and should be as per the dimensions and specifications listed in the notification. Before filling the application form, the candidate must go through the online notification or the advertisement of the examination. The printout of the application form should be kept in case of any future reference. The examination will be conducted in English language only. The syllabus is also disclosed on the official website for the ease and convenience of the students.

This exam is accepted by almost by all engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Application Fee

To apply for the examination, the candidates need to be paid 400INR at the AP Online Centres in AP. The payment of fee is also possible via the payment gateway of credit cards or debit cards or net banking. The payment of fee must be made using the most prominent methods in the most convenient ways and the receipt should be taken out as a printout for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The students should be the one of Indian nationality.
  • The student should be able to satisfy the local/non-local status.
  • The candidate must hold the state domicile of Andhra Pradesh. It is also essential for the students to obtain a Diploma in B.Tech/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State.
  • Those who have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized University in the state or any other of its equivalent can also apply for the examination.
  • The candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E. /B.Tech. /B. Pharmacy course can also apply for the examination. It is necessary for the students to obtain at least 45% marks for the general category or 40% marks for the reserved categories in order to qualify the examination.
  • The score of this exam is accepted by a lot of engineering colleges in India.
