Why Cybersecurity is Important for Businesses

Cyberattacks are increasing at an alarmingly fast rate, especially in workplaces.

It is true that larger businesses are larger targets for such attacks. However, this doesn’t make small to medium-sized businesses safe, they are often targets on their own or are targets as a way to get to larger businesses.

Phishing, malware attacks, ransomware, loss of intellectual property (IP), data leakage, and insider threats are some of the most common forms of cyberattacks today. Every organization must take measures to protect itself from these attacks.

Besides, a simple firewall and antivirus software aren’t enough to secure networks and systems anymore. Cyberattackers are stepping up their game by the day, needing businesses to have a more proficient IT security in place.
