All the automobile companies from across the world are looking forward to participate in the biggest motor show in India, the Auto Expo 2018. While a number of hatchbacks and SUVs are lined-up to make a serious noise at the event, there is the same amount of enthusiasm among the prospective buyers for the sedan cars too.
Renowned companies like Honda and Maruti Suzuki will start the fresh year with Amaze facelift and Ciaz respectively, while Toyota will be launching the mid-size sedan Vios. Here is the compiled list of the upcoming sedans that will take the centre stage at the Auto Expo 2018.
Honda City Facelift
The Japanese carmaker, Honda, has planned to launch the next-generation Honda City sedan in the domestic market in 2020. The manufacturer has recently showcased a new design language, the Honda Design C 001 at the 2017 Qingdao Auto show, and it is to be believed that the Honda City facelift will share the same design concept. We expect the concept model of the car to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo with an all-new design and a bunch of advanced features. Also, the engine specs would be more powerful than the ongoing model.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift
While Honda is already ruling the sedan segment with the City and Hyundai Verna facelift performing well on the sales chart, Maruti Suzuki will be launching the Ciaz facelift at the ‘Motor Mela’ in order to match up the game with the rivals. The company will offer a redesigned front and rear profile along with added features in the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift.
Toyota Vios
In India, the sedan segment is largely dominated by the Maruti and Honda. But this time, Toyota has a perfect vehicle to match the others in this particular segment. Toyota Vios is a mid-sized sedan, which is expected to be launched in the market by the end of this year. As per the speculations, the car seems to be spacious inside and will get a premium look with some new features.
Honda Amaze Facelift
The new gen Dzire has left behind all the competition in the compact sedan segment. However, Honda seems to regain the popularity with the facelifted version of its ongoing model, Amaze. Expectations are that the Amaze facelift will be launched at the motor show and will come with an updated cabin design and features.
All-new Audi A8
India has a large number of a customer base for the flagship sedans like Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-Series since most of the politicians and celebrities prefer the two cars the most. However, this is likely to change with the launch of the all-new Audi A8. The car is new with all the latest technology and has also the Level 3 autonomous driving technology that makes your drive even better and convenient.
New Mercedes Benz CLS
According to the stats, Mercedes-Benz is the most selling luxury car in India with a total sale of more than 15,000 units in 2017. Seeing the trend among its trusted customers, the manufacturer brings the latest model to India, Mercedes-Benz CLS. We expect the sedan to get unveiled at the show. Until then, there are not much of details about the car available.
All these upcoming sedans are slated to hit the Indian roads in the next 12 months or so. But, before this, you may catch all your favourite brands showcasing their new products at the Auto Expo 2018. Also, you can check out more details of the car you like at Autoportal.com.
